Green Smoothie


  • Serves 1
  • 1 cup water OR coconut water
  • 4 leaves organic kale
  • ½ organic lemon, juiced
  • 1 organic green apple
  • ½ frozen organic banana
  • 2 pitted organic dates (optional)
  • 2 slices of ginger root
  • 1 handful of parsley

Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender and process until smooth.

This is my go to smoothie, simple yet delicious and healing. The key anti-inflammatory ingredient here is ginger root. The tartness of the lemon juice tones down this pungent and spicy root spice; the banana, dates and apple add a little sweetness and all the flavors combine to create a mildly sweet and refreshing smoothie to start your day.
