Carrot Cake Protein Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • Serves 1
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 1 scoop plant protein powder
  • ½ banana
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 small carrots, shredded

Directions:
Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender and process until smooth.
Enjoy!

This smoothie is sweet and delicious plus all those almonds are loaded with healthy fatty acids, linoleic and linolenic that are helpful in reducing inflammation in the gut and all over the body. They also contain a good amount of vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant. Almonds also help with constipation. Constipation traps toxins inside your body creating inflammation. Carrots are full of beta carotene providing additional antioxidant goodness to this detoxifying and gut healing smoothie.
